Emerald is a shy girl who came to us from a colony in Homestead. A very kind, independent trapper brought her in with her five babies: Jasper, Jade, Flint, Pearl, and Opal. From the start she showed she is an excellent mother who cares deeply for her kittens.

After finishing quarantine, they took over the nursery and began to show off their big personalities. Emerald started to open up, though she kept a safe distance and always kept a close eye on her babies while we made sure they had everything they needed.

Her kittens have grown up — all but Pearl have found loving homes. Emerald now spends her days with Pearl, Pepper Jack, and Salem, treating them all like her very own. She is spayed and vaccinated and would do best with a patient adopter who can give her time and grace as she continues to open up and settle into indoor life.
